I have been thinking of updating the site after visiting top gaming websites.
They kinda inspired me to update the website and follow some of their designs...
The goal of the site is to make the site the most professional APF2k8 fan site available for everyone. These changes will be implemented slowly, since i do not have any extra designers that i can order around, i will work on these myself on my spare time.
Some of the changes you will see will be:
1. Flash categories in frontpage
2. New layout for frontpage
3. New categories (some are already created)
4. ad banners (oh noo! yes we would need to include ad banners to keep the site up and running, we don't want to do this, but its the only way to keep the website up)
APF2k8 Developer Collaboration
Another thing that would be great for the site is to collaborate with the APF2k8 developers to create their own "My Profile" pages, and update their blog using these pages to keep us updated with the basics of the game. This will keep us informed on how the game is doing. This would be great imo.
I have seen NHL2k8 developers posting simple blogs at 1up.com so why not get the APF2k8 developers and collaborate with us? It is possible and this is one of the things i would like to work on soon, hopefully the APF developers are not too secretive about this because of EA stealing ideas and such.
I hope that they collaborate with us and keep us updated on how the game is going.
I will also try to get Anthony Chau to create his own blog on the site and keep us updated on the game.
Tournaments and Leagues with Prizes
I would like to start Tournaments and Leagues that offer PRIZES. I would need sponsors of course, I do have ideas for sponsors, but i am not sure if they would go for it.
But this is the plan that we would like the site to evolve to is to offer Prizes. Hopefully we can make it a reality.
So that is the current plan for the site for now.
Update Nov 12
We started changing some of the design of the site these past few weeks. Some of the pages have already been changed. More new updates will be seen soon. It is slow but be patient, the new front page design will be great.
New additions to the site that will be included with the new design are Demo Reviews and Game Reviews.
I decided to add these because there are just some games out there that are worthy to be reviewed and promoted.
